Dr. Manish Motwani is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the College of Computing - School of Computer Science, Georgia Institute of Technology, where his research focuses on automated program repair for high-performance computing applications. He also serves as a courtesy faculty member at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), Oregon State University, and is expected to join as a tenure-track assistant professor in Fall 2023. His research interests lie in the automation of software engineering practices to improve the productivity of software engineers, including analyzing large software repositories to uncover interesting phenomena and designing novel techniques for requirements elicitation, testing, and program repair.
Dr. Motwani earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences, University of Massachusetts Amherst. His dissertation aimed to improve the quality of automatic program repair techniques for practical use in software development. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., he worked as a researcher at the Tata Research Development and Design Centre (TRDDC) in Pune, India, where he conducted research in requirements engineering.
